Help Build the Future of Aircraft Reliability in Central Queensland
Plane Support is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Components & Overhaul) to support our growing aircraft component repair, overhaul, testing and manufacturing operations in Central Queensland.
This is a workshop-based role focused on the overhaul, repair, manufacture, assembly and testing of aircraft components, including landing gear and associated systems. Components are received from operators and maintenance organisations and returned to service following repair, overhaul, testing and certification activities.
The role will appeal to engineers who enjoy component overhaul, fault finding, precision assembly, hydraulics, landing gear systems and manufacturing activities within a specialised workshop environment.
Plane Support is an established Australian aviation business with nearly 30 years' experience, providing CASA-approved maintenance (Part 145), manufacturing (Part 21G / 21K) and engineering services.
Our purpose is simple:
We support aircraft operators by delivering high-quality component repair, overhaul and manufacturing services that maximise aircraft availability and reliability.
We specialise in the manufacture, repair and overhaul of aircraft components, including landing gear and associated systems.
Having recently established operations in Central Queensland, we are entering a significant growth phase supported by expanded manufacturing capability, new overhaul programs, AS9100 certification, investment in advanced equipment and the development of new customer opportunities across the aviation and defence sectors.
We recently achieved AS9100 certification, further strengthening our quality and manufacturing capability and enabling us to support opportunities within the aerospace and defence sectors.
A new state-of-the-art CNC machining capability, additional overhaul programs and other exciting opportunities are expected to substantially increase our capability and workload over the coming years.
As we continue to expand, we remain focused on our vision of:
Our business is built on the foundations of safety, integrity, reliability and continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for carrying out aircraft component repair and overhaul, manufacturing support, and workshop activities on components including landing gear and associated systems.
The position is practical and workshop-based, requiring strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across both existing and emerging programs as the business grows.
You are an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work and takes pride in producing quality outcomes.
You are comfortable working in a workshop environment, understand the importance of compliance and documentation, and are looking for an opportunity to help build something long term.
You are practical, adaptable and capable of working independently within a small, growing team.
You take pride in doing things properly, producing quality work and continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
We are a relatively small team, so flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever required are important. The right person will be comfortable moving between overhaul, manufacturing, assembly and other workshop activities as business needs dictate.
As the business grows, there will be genuine opportunities for the right people to grow with it.
