Job summary

Watters Electrical in Wangaratta is seeking a qualified Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing team. You will install, service and repair systems across residential, commercial and industrial sites, delivering high-quality workmanship with a customer-first approach.

We offer full-time employment, with an hourly rate of $43.50–$50.40 plus allowances, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic (minimum Cert III).
• Refrigerant handling licence and restricted electrical licence required.
• Current driver’s licence and white card are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems across sites.
• Diagnose faults and perform preventive maintenance to ensure performance.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality projects on time.

About the Role - What You'll be doing:

• Install, service, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
• Perform fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to deliver high-quality projects on time and to specification.
• Engage directly with clients, offering exceptional customer service and technical insight.
• Uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance consistentlyin all aspects of your work.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic (minimum Cert III)
• Refrigerant Handling Licence
• Restricted Electrical Licence
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• Safe Working at Heights Certificate
• EWP Licence (desirable)
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first approach
