Job summary

Talent is seeking two Engineering Specialists to support the design, integration, testing and implementation of mission-critical Air Traffic Management systems in Sydney. The role requires delivering systems engineering across the full SDLC while ensuring safety and reliability of real-time aviation solutions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors and stakeholders to develop specifications, verify implementations and manage engineering risks in a major modernization program.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Demonstrated systems engineering experience across complex technology environments.
• Strong background in software systems design, integration, testing and implementation.
• Experience with quality assurance, configuration management and technical documentation.
• Ability to work with technical stakeholders, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Highly desirable: Experience with real-time systems, distributed architectures, message handling or safety-critical technology environments.
• Previous exposure to aviation, Air Traffic Management systems, DO-278A or government technology programs would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver systems engineering activities across the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Support system design, development, integration, installation, testing and verification.
• Develop and review technical specifications, system design documents, test plans and engineering artefacts.
• Investigate complex technical issues and implement solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
• Manage configuration, technical changes and engineering risks throughout implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, technical vendors and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
