Job summary

Saab Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Engineering Manager - ATM to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams across Australia. You will drive systems engineering for the Air Traffic Management programme, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and customer to deliver high‑quality ATM solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or computer science degree required.
• Significant experience applying systems engineering in ATM projects.
• Ability to handle complex technical challenges aligned with strategic goals.
• Knowledge of ATM systems and their integration.
• Awareness of ISM security requirements and safeguards.
• Ability to manage cost, time and quality constraints in projects.
• Experience in the ATM domain is highly desirable.
• Chartered engineering status and state registration eligibility (Victoria/Qld).
• Australian Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Manage resource plans for ATM project engineering within budgets and schedules.
• Ensure engineering resources have appropriate competence and experience.
• Maintain ongoing liaison with the customer to manage scope, resources and risks.
• Oversee technical issues and risks, controlling project scope in collaboration with the customer and Project Manager.
• Maintain baselines defined in the SEMP and configuration management for ATM projects.
