Job summary

UPS Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a motivated Air Gateway Assistant to support daily aircraft turnaround activities and ensure smooth freight movement through our air network. You will handle load planning, weight and balance calculations, and prepare flight documentation in a fast-paced airport setting.

The role requires aviation ramp experience, strong communication, and a commitment to safety. A manual driver’s licence is required, with rostered shifts from morning to late evening across seven

Qualifications

• Previous aircraft loading or unloading experience.
• Strong understanding of airport operational procedures.
• Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (manual licence required).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft load planning and weight and balance calculations.
• Preparing manifests and flight documentation.
• Finalising load calculations and issuing loading instructions.
• Accepting shipments and resolving freight discrepancies.
• Coordinating aircraft loading and unloading activities.
• Liaising with operational teams regarding aircraft servicing requirements including catering and cleaning.
• Monitoring ULD movements between cargo terminals and aircraft.
• Ensuring compliance with aviation safety, security and operational procedures.
• Supporting additional operational and administrative tasks as required.
