Job summary

Migas Apprentices & Trainees is seeking qualified Air Conditioning Installers and Technicians to install and service commercial and residential air conditioning systems in Brisbane, Tingalpa HQ, and the Sunshine Coast.

These full-time roles require installation experience with ducted and split systems, reading plans, and a valid White Card. A Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration and a driver’s licence are essential, with ARCtick licence as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and safety-minded approach.
• Experience reading plans and technical drawings.
• Must have UEE32225 Certificate III or equivalent.
• Must have a driver’s licence and a construction White Card.
• ARCtick licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install air conditioning units in houses under construction and existing buildings.
• Work with high-wall splits, packaged units, split ducted systems, and sheet metal ductwork.
• Read plans and technical drawings; work from measurements.
• Utilize a wide range of tools and equipment; handle refrigerants.
• Ensure safe work practices and report issues.

The Opportunity

Our client has multiple excellent opportunities available for qualified Air Conditioning Installers. You will be working for a growing company, installing and servicing commercial and residential air conditioning systems.

These positions are full-time and available in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, with the Head Office based in Tingalpa.

Job Details

Previous experience in the installation of ducted and split air conditioning systems required.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Installation of air conditioning units in houses under construction; high-wall splits, packaged units, split ducted and sheet metal ductwork
• Controls and chiller experience an advantage
• Reading plans and technical drawings
• Working from measurements
• Using a wide range of tools and equipment
• Handling refrigerant materials

About You

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be ready and willing to undertake physical work.

In addition to these qualities, you will:

• Have completed UEE32225 Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or equivalent
• Have completed a minimum of year 10 with good results in English and Mathematics
• Have a driver's licence
• Have a construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
• Be safety minded and work safely
• Be well presented and professional
• Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions
