Job summary

Amp Recruitment partner for a growing air conditioning business is seeking experienced technicians for residential installations and service across Brisbane’s northside, Moreton Bay, and the Sunshine Coast. You’ll install, commission and service systems, mentor apprentices, and have opportunities to progress into leadership roles.

This role offers a 9‑day fortnight, a company vehicle, performance bonuses, and long‑term permanent employment within a supportive team focused on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration is required
• Refrigerant handling licences are required
• Experience in residential air conditioning installations
• A current driver’s licence is essential
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Install split and ducted air conditioning systems
• Rough-ins, fit-offs and commissioning
• Residential servicing and maintenance as required
• Work alongside apprentices and other qualified tradespeople
• Manage daily workload and maintain quality standards
• Support project delivery safely and efficiently

You'll be working across residential air conditioning installations, with projects ranging from individual homes through to large townhouse developments.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Installing split and ducted air conditioning systems
• Rough-ins, fit-offs and commissioning
• Residential servicing and maintenance as required
• Working alongside apprentices and other qualified tradespeople
• Managing your daily workload and maintaining quality standards
• Supporting the delivery of projects safely and efficiently

Ideally, you'll have:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Relevant refrigerant handling and trade licences
• Experience in residential air conditioning installations
• A current driver's licence
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your work
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude

We’re also interested in speaking with experienced air conditioning installers and dual-trade electricians with relevant installation experience.

If you’re an experienced technician who enjoys running jobs, mentoring apprentices or coordinating installations, there are opportunities to progress into Team Leader, Senior Installer and potentially Operations Management positions.
