Job summary

Konnexus in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a senior leader to define the enterprise AI Testing, Assurance and Governance framework. You will shape how AI is governed, validated and released across a major enterprise, focusing on safety, reliability and compliance before release.

You will build the brand-new capability bringing together AI assurance, testing, risk, governance and business validation into a scalable framework to support AI adoption for years to come.

Qualifications

• Designing AI Assurance, Responsible AI, Model Validation or AI Governance frameworks within a complex enterprise environment.
• Deep knowledge of AI risks including bias, drift, explainability, safety, reliability, adversarial resilience, prompt injection and ongoing monitoring.
• Leading testing, quality engineering or assurance functions and embedding standards into large-scale technology delivery environments.
• Working within regulated or highly governed environments such as financial services, banking, insurance, superannuation or government.
• Building governance models, operating frameworks and sustainable enterprise capabilities.
• Influencing executives, risk leaders and delivery teams to drive adoption of new standard and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the organization's AI Testing & Assurance Framework, defining the standards, controls and evidence required before AI solutions can be released.
• Establish assurance processes across AI safety, bias, drift, explainability, reliability, monitoring and governance.
• Act as the independent authority for high-risk AI releases, providing assurance recommendations and challenging progression where evidence does not meet agreed standards.
• Define how AI can be leveraged to modernise and accelerate testing through automation, validation, test design and evidence generation.
• Create the business validation model that ensures AI outputs are accurate, explainable, safe and appropriate, not simply technically compliant.
• Embed AI assurance into existing risk, governance and delivery frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Build the future-state AI Assurance capability, including operating models, workforce uplift, governance and long-term ownership.
