Job summary

Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action in Victoria seeks an AI Technical Specialist to embed and advance AI practices within the department. The role focuses on delivering AI solutions that prioritise automation and enablement, working with ISD teams and stakeholders to evolve the AI platform.

The position requires a proactive change mindset, continuous learning, and adaptability to AI technologies, with hybrid work arrangements within Victoria and an ongoing appointment.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying AI solutions in production environments.
• 4+ years of system administration experience with the Microsoft suite.
• 4+ years of system administration experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in an Innovation setting and keeping up to date with the changes in AI.
• Hands on with developing AI Agents using Agent Builder, Copilot Studio, AI Foundry and Amazon Bedrock.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem solving, and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed and advance AI practices into DEECA.
• Partner with ISD teams and external stakeholders to evolve the AI platform.
• Support existing services and develop new AI capabilities.
