Job summary

Kaplan Australia is seeking a Security Consultant to lead the development of AI security, governance and risk capability as part of its expanding AI program. This newly created role focuses on safe, secure and responsible deployment of AI across the organisation.

You will collaborate with technology teams, business units and clients to assess AI-related risk, develop governance frameworks and support regulatory alignment, including ISO 42001, while serving as a trusted advisor on AI security.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security, security consulting, risk management, assurance or governance.
• Experience conducting security reviews, risk assessments or advisory activities.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach
• Exposure to AI governance, AI technologies or AI-related risk management.
• Knowledge of AI security frameworks, responsible AI practices or ISO 42001.
• Experience responding to client security questionnaires, audits or third-party assessments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to assess and manage cyber security and AI-related risks.
• Support Kaplan's alignment with AI governance and security frameworks, including ISO 42001.
• Develop and maintain AI security policies, standards, controls and processes.
• Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for AI initiatives and technologies.
• Respond to client and third-party security assessments and due diligence requests.
• Support audits and compliance activities relating to cyber security and AI governance.
• Provide guidance on emerging AI security threats, risks and industry best practice.
• Work with technology and business teams to ensure AI solutions are implemented securely and responsibly.
