APRA is seeking an Enterprise Data & AI Architect to shape how data and AI come together across the organisation. You will collaborate with data, platform, security and delivery teams to design architectural direction, guardrails and roadmaps that deliver secure, trusted data and AI capabilities at scale.

The role spans on-premises and cloud with a move toward a strategic cloud data platform. It is hands-on and strategic, focusing on reference architectures, patterns and advisory input to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience as data and AI architect at organisation-wide level, developing models and roadmaps.
• Strong background in data architecture across hybrid environments and cloud data platforms.
• Experience with data governance and master data management.
• Experience shaping AI and generative-AI approaches in enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of on-prem and cloud integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, Dynamics 365).
• Understanding of Australian Government security frameworks (ISM, PSPF) and related privacy/security considerations.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on architecture and strong collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Shape and evolve target-state architecture and roadmaps for data and AI across on-premises and cloud.
• Provide early architectural input on significant initiatives.
• Guide migration and consolidation toward the cloud data platform with sequencing considerations.
• Develop reference architectures, patterns and guardrails for data platforms and AI solutions.
• Define governance patterns for data quality, metadata, lineage, cataloguing and master data.
• Define data integration and dissemination across diverse sources.
• Improve architectural consistency by co-designing with solution architects and delivery teams.
• Collaborate with security, privacy and governance colleagues to meet obligations.
• Act as a trusted adviser to delivery teams and uplift architectural capability.
