Neara in Sydney is shaping AI-powered features for utilities using a physics-driven digital twin. You will ship end-to-end, grounded AI capabilities and work on retrieval, agents, and tool use with strong emphasis on safety and explainability.

You will lead evaluation, guardrails, and customer-driven iteration, collaborating with power systems and GIS experts to deliver engineering-grade results.

Formación

• 5+ years building and shipping production software.
• Shipped AI features in a commercial product and owned them after launch.
• Experience with retrieval, context engineering, tool use and agent orchestration for LLM products.
• Strong evaluation approach and capable of describing it.
• Good judgment on where AI should be used and where it should not.
• Strong product sense and ability to work with expert users.

Responsabilidades

• Design, prototype and ship AI-powered features end to end in production.
• Build agentic and retrieval-based systems grounded in the Neara digital twin.
• Define guardrails, refusals, confidence signals and human-in-the-loop checkpoints.
• Establish evaluation discipline: eval sets, testing, observability, versioning, costs and latency budgets.
• Collaborate with power systems and GIS specialists to ensure engineering-grade outputs.
• Spend time with customers to decide what to build and iterate on feedback.
• Set standards for using AI and coding agents in our workflow.
