Job summary

Buildcorp is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop and support internal web applications that improve how the business operates. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and AI specialists to deliver secure, scalable and user-focused solutions.

You will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development practices to accelerate delivery and improve outcomes across NSW, QLD and VIC.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting web-based applications.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and development best practices.
• Experience with source control, testing, documentation and code reviews.
• Ability to work from business requirements and translate them into working solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain internal web applications and business systems
• Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions
• Apply AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve productivity and code quality
• Maintain high standards of source control, documentation, testing and code quality
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and key stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
• Support the modernisation of internal applications and workflows
• Work alongside Buildcorp's AI Lead to align development activities with the broader AI strategy
• Contribute to AI-native solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies including Azure Functions and Azure AI services
• Support and extend solutions developed through Microsoft Copilot Studio and other low-code platforms
• Take successful prototypes and proof-of-concepts through to production-ready solutions
