Job summary

IMC B.V. in Sydney, NSW, AU, is seeking an AI Platform Systems Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure behind AI-powered engineering workflows.

You will integrate AI SaaS offerings, manage containerization and virtualization, and harden security for AI agents and internal services. Based in Sydney, you will collaborate with global AI platform teams, support development teams, and ensure reliability and observability of production-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in a relevant role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python or Go; Shell scripting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and virtualization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience integrating and operating third-party SaaS solutions and AWS cloud services.
• Understanding of security principles including secrets management and compliance.
• Experience with disaster recovery, HA configurations, and failover strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity).
• Interest in AI/LLM patterns and agentic AI tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, deploy, and operate AI SaaS offerings and self-hosted AI services.
• Design and maintain containerization and virtualization environments for AI agents and services.
• Drive security hardening of AI agents and internal services, including secrets management and access controls.
• Develop code to extend, integrate, and automate services (APIs, tooling, automation frameworks).
• Build telemetry, monitoring, and evaluation infrastructure for reliable AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to align platform capabilities with AI workflows and act as regional point of contact.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents in a follow-the-sun model to ensure continuous availability.
