Job summary

REA Group, through PropTrack, is seeking a data science professional to design, build, and deploy ML pipelines and AI-driven analytics in a collaborative Data Science & Analytics team in Sydney. You’ll work on GenAI, time series forecasting, and scalable ML services across the organization.

You will prototype PoCs, improve data quality, and partner with stakeholders while following modern software practices. Join a high-performance, caring culture that values learning and impact.

Qualifications

• Programming skills in SQL, Python, R, C#, or similar; ability to code.
• Passion for Machine Learning, DL/Generative AI, Time Series Analysis & Forecasting, Software Development.
• Deep knowledge of the ML model lifecycle.
• Hands-on with ML hosting libraries: XGBoost, LightGBM, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, HF models, Transformers, FastAPI, Flask.
• Data handling: cleaning, analyzing large data sets, and spotting data quality issues.
• Cloud basics: AWS/Azure/GCP core services.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy ML pipelines using Python, SQL, IaC, AWS, and GCP.
• Build AI products using Generative AI, LLMs, and traditional ML techniques.
• Prototype PoCs with senior engineers to explore feasibility.
• Support data processes with ad-hoc analysis, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
• Analyze data coverage and quality across internal/external datasets to raise data awareness.
• Follow agile practices: TDD, CD, pair programming.
• Share responsibility for ops as part of the you build it, you run it culture.
• Learn and mentor teammates, continual improvement.
