Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking an AI Governance Analyst to join a government program focused on AI governance, assurance and governance uplift. The role encompasses coordinating AI assessments and governance activities aligned with Government AI requirements, and advancing priority audit, assurance and compliance actions.

You will maintain governance registers, ensure quality and escalation of high-risk matters, and contribute to the AI governance operating model and artefacts for scalable AI adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience with NSW Government AI Assessment Framework (AIAF) and AI assessments.
• Experience implementing governance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Strong written communication for governance papers and reports.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.

AI Governance Analyst

We're looking for an experienced AI Governance Analyst to join a Government organisation and support a key program of work across AI governance, assurance and governance uplift.

A major focus will be coordinating AI assessments and governance activities aligned with Government AI requirements, alongside progressing priority audit, assurance and compliance actions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Coordinate AI governance activities and AI assessments in line with Government requirements.
• Support and progress the organisation's AI governance work program.
• Maintain AI governance registers, ensuring quality, accuracy and appropriate escalation of high-risk or overdue matters.
• Progress priority actions arising from internal audits, assurance activities and policy commitments.
• Support implementation and uplift of the AI governance operating model, including ownership, decision rights, lifecycle controls and escalation pathways.
• Develop and improve governance processes and artefacts supporting scalable AI adoption.
• Support governance activities relating to Copilot, AI agents and emerging AI use cases.

About You

You’ll be an experienced governance, risk or assurance professional who understands AI governance within the NSW Government environment and can work autonomously with minimal direction.

To be considered, you will need

• Previous NSW Government experience - essential.
• Experience with the NSW Government AI Assessment Framework (AIAF) and AI assessments - essential.
• Strong experience across AI governance, risk, assurance and compliance.
• Experience implementing or working with governance frameworks, policies, controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience coordinating governance assessments, reviews and assurance activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Understanding of AI lifecycle governance, including ownership, decision rights, controls and escalation pathways.
• Experience maintaining governance registers, tracking actions and progressing audit or assurance findings.
• Strong written communication skills, including executive reporting, governance papers, briefings and audit evidence.
