Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Technical Business Analyst (AI and Data) to join their growing Data, Analytics and AI function in Sydney. You will enable business users to leverage BI and Analytics tools, while applying AI-assisted tools to accelerate design and delivery.

You will capture requirements, translate them into design, support testing, training and implementation of BI/analytics solutions, combining traditional BA discipline with process improvement and AI productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in Technical Business Analysis, ideally BI, Data Warehouse and Analytics.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift, Databricks).
• Knowledge of data warehouse design concepts and data modeling.
• Ability to build reporting and visualization in Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub tools and AI coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
• Translate business requirements into viable BI/Analytics solutions.
• Develop functional designs, user manuals and glossary.
• Create user stories balancing UX with fit-for-purpose UI development.
• Manage cross-functional projects from planning through execution and risk management.
• Lead change management and stakeholder communications for adoption.
• Engage with internal customers to build strong partnerships.
