Job summary

Mantel is hiring a Principal Data Engineer to lead technical delivery and shape data architectures across client projects in Australia. You will guide Mantel teams, influence outcomes at multiple levels, and champion innovative data platforms for AI capabilities.

You will drive multi-project leadership, engage with partners and clients, and shape project economics while pursuing growth opportunities and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive consulting and technical experience with a proven track record of influencing leaders at senior levels.
• Strong understanding of the modern data stack and AI-ready data architectures.
• Hands-on knowledge of modern data ecosystems, especially Databricks / Snowflake, and cloud-native services.
• Experience with large engagements and translating requirements into technology solutions.
• Experience in large and complex RFP responses and solution design.
• Proven ability to own sales presentations, proposals, and artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for technical excellence in the delivery of projects across Mantel.
• Provide technical leadership spanning teams, accounts, and client relationships.
• Influence and guide Mantel teams and outcomes as a leading voice.
• Pioneer new data architectures to unlock AI capabilities across the business.
• Lead data projects to success, managing ambiguity and complex requirements.
• Drive commercial growth by delivering projects and pursuing new opportunities.
