Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analytics professional in Sydney to design personalised communications using segmentation and propensity modelling. You will translate business needs into measurable analytical outcomes and automate processes with Python.

Develop Power BI reporting to enable self-service insights and embed AI into analytics for enhanced customer engagement. You will collaborate with product, marketing and tech teams, mentor junior staff, and support advanced analytics initiatives

Qualifications

• Advanced Python skills to automate analytical processes.
• Experience in customer analytics and predictive/propensity modelling.
• Experience with Power BI or similar self-service analytics tools.
• Ability to frame problems and translate insights for stakeholders.
• Mentoring and knowledge transfer capabilities.
• Strategic thinking and resilience in changing priorities.
• Experience applying AI to analytics is valued.
• Financial services experience not essential if transferable.
• Commitment to responsible data use and human judgement.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise personalised customer communications using segmentation, propensity modelling, scoring and decisioning techniques.
• Translate complex or ambiguous business needs into structured analytical approaches, measurable outcomes and practical recommendations.
• Use Python and related analytical tools to automate manual processes and improve efficiency, quality and repeatability.
• Develop Power BI reporting and self-service analytics for stakeholder decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI into analytics, reporting and customer communications.
• Partner with product, marketing and technology stakeholders to connect customer behaviour with engagement strategies.
• Mentor analysts and senior analysts through technical challenges.
• Share knowledge and strengthen analytical capability across the team.
• Support CommBank Yello, Commonwealth Bank's customer recognition program, through advanced analytics.
