Job summary

DuluxGroup is seeking an experienced AI Data Engineer in Melbourne to shape how AI is embedded across our data ecosystem. You will build scalable data products on a modern Databricks platform, ensuring high data quality and governance while collaborating with data scientists and platform engineers.

You will contribute to AI initiatives and establish engineering standards, enabling trusted data solutions and business value across our brands.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer in modern cloud-based data environments.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to machine learning, analytics, or generative AI use cases.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, data modelling, Lakehouse architectures, CI/CD practices, and infra automation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data assets on the Databricks platform.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and platform engineers to deliver AI-ready data products.
• Contribute to best-practice engineering standards and governance across the data ecosystem.
