Job summary

RMIT University is seeking a Research Assistant, AI Consultancy, for a 12-month fixed-term, part-time 0.5 FTE role based at the RMIT Business and Technology Studio in Werribee and Melbourne City campus. The position focuses on delivering and evaluating AI consultancy services for Wyndham businesses, developing practical AI opportunities, and contributing to research outputs and funding applications.

Qualifications

Experience undertaking research independently and as part of a team.
Evidence of research outputs, such as publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports.
Ability to build relationships with industry and government and contribute to funding opportunities and projects.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues, project leaders and industry partners.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to undertake relevant administrative activities associated with the role.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery, evaluation and development of the RMIT research service.
Engage with Wyndham businesses to understand needs and readiness for AI.
Identify AI opportunities and develop practical recommendations and pathways for support.
Contribute to research outputs, data collection and analysis, case studies, reports and funding applications.
