Job summary

Firmus Technologies seeks an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join the Commissioning team. You will develop tools for bring-up, hardware config, and testing, while integrating a range of cloud, on‑prem, and SaaS resources to enable production‑ready AI infrastructure.

You will lead automation across hardware bring‑up, monitoring, network, storage, and communication tooling, with a focus on security and repeatable deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing software, automation platforms, or infrastructure automation for large-scale Linux, cloud, HPC, or AI environments.
• Experience with bash, Python, Ansible scripting and automation.
• Solid understanding of high-performance GPU infrastructure.
• Linux server, network, and storage configuration and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom tools and automate initial system bring‑up and hardware configuration.
• Implement health checks and diagnostics; support production readiness.
• Automate network deployment and configuration; develop diagnostics.
• Develop tooling for storage deployment, configuration, benchmarking and validation.
• Integrate messaging, inventory, issue trackers, dashboards for commissioning.
• Develop test and benchmarking tools and run project-specific tests.
• Leverage IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines; document tools and processes.
• Apply security best practices including credential handling and secure configurations.
• Travel for on-site deployments as required.
