Job summary

PropTrack, part of REA Group, is seeking an AI-driven Automation Engineer in Sydney to design, code, test, and deploy ML pipelines using Python, SQL, IaC, AWS, and GCP. You’ll build AI products with Generative AI and traditional ML methods, prototype PoCs, and collaborate with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, R, or similar.
• Experience with ML and hosting libraries such as XGBoost, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
• Ability to build and deploy ML pipelines in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with IaC and cloud basics (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Stats or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and deploy machine learning pipelines using Python, SQL, IaC, AWS, and GCP.
• Build innovative AI products using Generative AI, LLMs, and traditional ML techniques.
• Prototype and spike out POCs to explore new ideas with senior engineers.
• Support data processes with ad-hoc analysis, dashboards, and self-service reporting.
• Analyze data quality across internal and external datasets to raise awareness.
• Follow agile practices and maintain dev-ops responsibilities.
