Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) seeks an experienced Qualified Flying Instructor (Category A) to join the AH-64 Apache sustainment team in Townsville, North Queensland. You will set aviation standards, delivering world-class instruction across airborne, synthetic, and ground training while upholding safety and quality expectations.

The role requires extensive AH-64E experience, military qualification, and the ability to obtain Defence security clearance, with relocation support and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must hold or have held AUS/UK/US AH-64E qualification.
• Minimum 2,000 hours total turbine rotary wing flying experience, with at least 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command.
• Minimum 250 hours total AH-64E flying experience, with at least 100 hours Pilot In Command.
• At least 700 hours of instructional experience, of which 500 hours are aircraft instructional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality AH-64E airborne, synthetic, and ground instruction.
• Oversee and conduct AH-64E flying operations per established protocols.
• Maintain flying currency and qualifications as required by Army Aviation Orders and publications.
• Promote safety culture and wellbeing of the training team.
• Manage instructional and administrative tasks to ensure training workflows.
• Contribute to evolving training methodologies and team performance.
