Job summary

The Department for Education, South Australia’s Cleve Area school is seeking an Operational Services Manager with a passion for agriculture to join our team. You will lead the day-to-day commercial operation of Sims Farm and work with staff to improve teaching and learning outcomes across Agricultural Education.

You will operate and maintain farm equipment, manage sheep, and build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and local partners to support a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and dryland farming.
• Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment.
• Ability to establish relationships with staff, students, parents, local farmers, industry specialists and sponsors.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and plan routines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day commercial operation of Sims Farm.
• Collaborate with staff to foster continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Support Agricultural Education by assisting teachers to deliver the program.
• Assist in the development of the Agricultural teaching program.
• Operate and manage farm equipment.
• Manage sheep (tagging / flocking) and ensure flock health.
