Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Agitator Driver at Lakes Entrance plant to safely deliver ready‑mix concrete to construction sites. You will conduct vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and ensure accurate delivery documentation, while upholding safety and customer service standards.

The role requires valid HR/HC licenses, experience with agitator trucks, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid HR or HC driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating agitator trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks (climbing, lifting, cleaning).

• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain agitator trucks safely and efficiently, transporting ready‑mix concrete to designated locations.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant operators, and customers regarding delivery schedules, site conditions, and concrete specifications.
• Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including dockets, timesheets, and vehicle logs.
• Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the agitator drum and associated equipment.
• Maintain a professional and customer‑focused attitude at all times.
• Understand and follow concrete mix designs and delivery procedures.

As an Agitator Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to various construction sites, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and adherence to company and industry standards.
