Job summary

RASAK PTY LTD is hiring a compassionate Aged or Disabled Carer in Sydney, NSW. The role focuses on person-centred support to help clients maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing in daily life.

You will work as part of a growing care team, delivering personal care, mobility support and emotional companionship, with a commitment to safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability) or equivalent
• Experience in aged care, disability support or related care environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of person-centred care and independence
• Current National Police Check or ability to obtain one
• NDIS Worker Screening Check where required
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's licence where driving is required

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities
• Providing mobility assistance and support with transfers
• Assisting with dressing, grooming, hygiene and other personal care needs
• Supporting meal preparation and eating where required
• Assisting clients to participate in community, social and recreational activities
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Observing wellbeing and reporting changes or concerns
• Maintaining accurate care notes and service records
• Following individual care and support plans
• Working collaboratively with families, carers and other care professionals
• Complying with workplace health and safety, infection control and organisational policies

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Aged or Disabled Carer to join our growing care team. The successful candidate will provide person-centred assistance and support to older people and/or people with disability, helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, wellbeing and participation in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

• assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities
• providing mobility assistance and support with transfers
• assisting clients with dressing, grooming, hygiene and other personal care needs
• supporting clients with meal preparation and eating where required
• assisting clients to participate in community, social and recreational activities
• providing companionship and emotional support
• supporting clients to maintain independence and quality of life
• assisting with household and routine daily activities where required
• observing clients' wellbeing and reporting relevant changes or concerns
• maintaining accurate care notes and service records
• following individual care and support plans
• working collaboratively with families, carers and other care professionals
• complying with workplace health and safety, infection control, safeguarding and organisational policies

Qualifications and Experience

• a relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), or an equivalent relevant qualification
• relevant experience demonstrating the skills required for the position
• relevant experience in aged care, disability support or a closely related care environment
• good communication and interpersonal skills
• an understanding of person-centred care
• the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• a current National Police Check or ability to obtain one
• an NDIS Worker Screening Check where required
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it
• a valid driver's licence where driving is required as part of the position
