Job summary

The Benevolent Society in Sydney's southern suburbs is seeking compassionate home care workers to help older clients live independently at home. This casual role involves in-home personal care and travel to clients' residences, with flexible rostering to fit your schedule.

You will provide support per individual care plans, assist with daily living tasks, transportation, and community activities, and join a team committed to improving quality of life for clients while earning hourly rates with

Qualifications

• Must have a current driver's license and own vehicle.
• Willing to travel to clients within the service locations such as Kingsgrove, Oatley, Penshurst, Sans Souci and Innerwest.
• Passion for helping older individuals maintain independence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse client backgrounds.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home personal care including showering, hygiene, meals, cleaning, and laundry.
• Provide care aligned with each client's Care Plan.
• Support clients in community activities and social engagement.
• Offer transportation and assist with shopping and appointments.

  Your role will involve assisting our clients in maintaining their independence and enhancing their quality of life through a wide range of responsibilities aimed at their well-being

  • Delivering in-home personal care, which includes assisting with daily living activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, and laundry & ironing.
  • Providing personalized care that aligns with each client's unique Care Plan.
  • Supporting clients in engaging in community-based recreational and social activities.
  • Offering transportation and aiding in shopping trips and appointments.

  Requirements:

  • Must possess a current driver's license and their own vehicle, demonstrating a willingness to travel to clients' homes within the specified service locations. Such as Kingsgrove, Oatley, Penshurst, Sans Souci, and the Innerwest.
  • A genuine passion for helping older individuals maintain their independence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Reliability and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to ensure our clients can continue living in their own homes.
  • Flexibility in working hours and approach. We strive to align our team members' availability with the needs of our clients.
  • A Certificate 3, 4, or diploma in Aged Care, Home Care, Disability, or a related field.
  • Experience in using mobility aids and assisting with client hoisting is advantageous.
