Job summary

The Benevolent Society in New South Wales is seeking dedicated home care support workers to assist older clients in the community. You will provide in-home personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support transportation to appointments.

You will travel within service locations such as Narrabeen Beach, Newport Beach, Freshwater and Manly, with flexible rosters to suit your schedule and paid travel time between clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a current driver’s licence
• Own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage diverse clients

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care (showering, hygiene, meals, light cleaning, laundry)
• Deliver care aligned with each client’s Care Plan
• Monitor and report changes in health or behaviour to the care team
• Support clients with transportation, shopping, and appointments to enable community participation

We are currently searching for dedicated home care support workers to assist older clients in the community. Your responsibilities will revolve around preserving their independence at home and enriching their quality of life.

In this role, you will:

• Provide in-home personal care, assisting with daily living activities such as showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, and laundry & ironing.
• Deliver personalised care aligned with each client's unique Care Plan.
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's health or behavior.
• Working as a team to create a positive experience for our clients.
• Provide support with transportation needs, helping with shopping trips and appointments, to empower active community patriation.

Requirements:

• Must have a current driver's license and your own vehicle (with comprehensive insurance).
• Willingness to travel to clients' homes within the specified service locations such as Narrabeen Beach, Newport Beach, Freshwater, and Manly
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
• Flexibility in working hours and approach. We strive to align our team members' availability with the needs of our clients.
• A Certificate 3, 4, or diploma in Aged Care, Home Care, Disability, or a related field.
• Experience in using mobility aids/hoisting devices is highly valued.
