Job summary

DABS in Western Australia is seeking a committed Aged Care Support Worker to join our remote Spinifex Lands team. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred in-home care, meals preparation, and domestic assistance under CHSP guidelines.

Based in Tjuntjuntjara, you will support health staff, maintain safety practices, and contribute to community services with a not-for-profit ethos. Requires a Certificate 3/4 in ageing support and a current Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Current Western Australia Working with Children Check
• National Police Clearance (not more than 2 years old)
• Australian citizenship, permanent resident status, or appropriate work visa
• Current manual driver’s licence
• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or Certificate 4 in Ageing Support

Responsibilities

• Provide in Home Care for Aged Care Clients
• Perform domestic assistance tasks including cleaning, laundry, linen changes, and cleaning of bathrooms, living areas, and toilets
• Assist with meal planning, including food costing, ingredient ordering, and stock management
• Prepare nutritious meals and ensure timely delivery to community members
• Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security of client information
• Attend mandatory training programs and staff meetings as required
