Job summary

Opal HealthCare in Lidcombe, Sydney's west, is seeking a General Services Officer for a permanent part-time role. You will assist with meal service, maintain clean living spaces, support laundry processes and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment checks and mandatory training are required.
• Ability to work across catering, cleaning and laundry duties as needed.
• Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, cleaning, catering or laundry is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal service, meal plating and dining room setup.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in resident rooms and common areas.
• Support laundry services including collection, washing and distribution of clothing.
• Follow food safety, infection control and WHS procedures.
• Build respectful relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Report maintenance, safety or wellbeing concerns to the appropriate team member.
