Job summary

Aeralife Watergardens is seeking a Registered Nurse to support resident-centred care and clinical governance in a residential aged care setting. You will contribute to safe care delivery, oversee documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet residents’ physical, social and cultural needs.

You will report to the Clinical Care Manager and play a key role in ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and continuous improvement within the home.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in Residential Aged Care.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Covid-19 Vaccinations (highly recommended).
• Experience in re-accreditation processes and ACQSC."
• Broad knowledge of Aged Care Industry, ACFI and related policies.
• Experience with electronic care systems and Joanna Briggs portal.
• Knowledge of KPIs and clinical governance accountability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate completion of clinical care tasks and related documentation.
• Monitor resident files, progress notes, lists and observation charts.
• Manage specialised nursing care needs including patches, injections, wound care, catheter care and diabetic care.
• Liaise with residents, their representatives and other health professionals to ensure high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with Medication Management policy and antimicrobial stewardship practices.
