Job summary

Aeralife Illawong is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our aged care team on a permanent part-time or casual basis. You will support residents with their physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs in a peaceful, nature-rich setting.

You will deliver high-quality, resident-centred care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain accurate documentation. AHPRA registration and aged care experience are essential; flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Minimum two years’ experience in Residential Aged Care.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Covid-19 vaccination (highly recommended).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality resident care aligned with individual preferences.
• Administer and document medications and prescribed treatments.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families.
• Plan and evaluate nursing care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the patient records.

The Opportunity on Offer

As an Enrolled Nurse you will assist to deliver resident-centred care that supports the residents physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs, enabling residents to maintain their own wellbeing and independence for as long as possible.

How you will make an Impact

The Enrolled Nurse (EN) is a member of the clinical team who assists to deliver quality care tailored to the needs and preferences of the residents.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:

• Provide quality resident care in accordance with the resident’s preferences and care needs.
• Administer and document consumer medications and prescribed treatment accurately.
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and relatives.
• Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified health outcomes.
• Plan and evaluate nursing care in consultation with the multidisciplinary health care team and consumers using effective interpersonal communication.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the clinical management record ensuring the data is accurate and complete utilising the clinical documentation system
• Assisting residents with behaviours of concern, by participation in the development and implementation of an individually tailored management plan and supporting care staff.

Requirements:

• Enrolled Nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in Residential Aged Care
• Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Current Covid-19 Vaccinations (highly recommended)
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and relevant experience.
