Job summary

Arcare Point Lonsdale, a 90-bed aged care residence in Victoria, is seeking a Residence Manager to lead the residence operations with focus on safety, care quality, and a positive workplace culture.

You will oversee staff across clinical, environmental, catering, lifestyle and administration; manage budgets and drive quality improvements while ensuring regulatory compliance and open communication with residents, families, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in aged care or health services sector.
• Current AHPRA Registration.
• Comprehensive understanding of the aged care industry, including regulations, compliance requirements, best practices and emerging trends.
• Exhibit a high level of financial accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in problem-solving, tackling challenges with skill and efficiency.
• Exhibit leadership qualities, inspire, and actively support the development of employees.

Responsibilities

• Staff management: overseeing leadership roles across clinical, environmental, catering, lifestyle and administration; including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Resident care: collaborating with clinical staff to ensure high-quality care meeting physical, emotional and social needs.
• Budgeting and financial management: developing and managing residence budgets; allocating resources effectively.
• Quality improvement: implementing quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory compliance: ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards for aged care facilities.
• Communication: maintaining effective communication with residents, families, staff and external stakeholders.
