Job summary

Respect is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in a residential aged care setting in Inverell, NSW. You will work within your scope of practice, adhere to AHPRA requirements and aged care standards, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure residents receive person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA and knowledge of residential aged care.
• Experience and/or knowledge of residential aged care settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication management and documentation skills.
• Understanding of aged care accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of government standards related to aged care delivery.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Passion for supporting older people to live with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and collect health information.
• Participate in resident admissions, ongoing assessments and care planning.
• Develop and review resident care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation; provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Administer medications following policies and procedures.
• Monitor health status and respond to changes in clinical condition.
• Collaborate with residents, families, GPs and care team to achieve positive outcomes.
• Promote a safe, person-centred environment for residents.
• Contribute to quality, compliance and continuous improvement activities.
• Mentor and support care staff in clinical needs.
