Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a full-time Carer Gateway Navigator based in Bowral, NSW. The role supports Older Carers and carers of frail aged people, engaging CALD communities and First Nations groups to navigate the My Aged Care system.

This is an ongoing, full-time position with SCHADS Level 4B, salary packaging up to $15,899 and 17.5% leave loading plus superannuation. Driver’s license and Police/NDIS checks required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a related field or demonstrated relevant experience.
• Regional Assessment Service (RAS) or Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assessor experience is highly desirable.
• Current valid driver’s license and evidence of working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support Older Carers and Carers of frail aged people, including CALD and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Collaborate with My Aged Care Assessment teams and contact centre staff to improve carer outcomes.
• Assist carers to understand and access the My Aged Care system across Queensland, Southwestern Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.
