Job summary

United Protestant Association of NSW is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Cook for the Jindera Hostel in the Riverina Murray Region. The role requires weekend availability and involves cooking, meal service and kitchen duties to support high-quality resident meals.

Experience in planning, preparing and cooking fresh meals, table service, and a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred. HACCP compliance and aged care knowledge are advantageous for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, preparing and cooking fresh meals.
• Experience with table service and clearing duties.
• Desirable: bulk food prep experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Familiarity with HACCP and Food Safety Standards.
• Aged Care environment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents in accordance with dietary plans.
• Provide high standard of food service and presentation.
• Assist with kitchen operations and cleaning duties.
• Support the team to ensure timely meal delivery across shifts.
