Job summary

BlueCare in Redcliffe is seeking a Home Services Officer to join the onsite hospitality team at Redcliffe Aged Care. You will deliver high-quality dining, cleaning and laundry services in a safe, welcoming, and person-centred environment, helping residents enjoy daily comfort and dignity.

The role requires warmth in customer service, strong attention to hygiene, and readiness to learn food safety practices.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, foodservices or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect.
• Strong communications skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements.
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during mealtimes.
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas and caring for clothing and linen.
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience.
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks.
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
