Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Home Services Officer at Redcliffe Aged Care Facility to join the on-site hospitality team. You will deliver high-quality dining, cleaning and laundry services in a safe, welcoming, person-centred environment, supporting residents with meals, dining areas and daily operations.

The role requires prior hospitality, cleaning or food service experience, strong communication and teamwork, plus a commitment to hygiene and safety standards. NDIs checks and probity may be required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospitality, cleaning, food services or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide person-centred customer service with warmth and respect
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards
• Understanding of or willingness to learn food safety, infection control and cleaning practices
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service, ensuring meals are delivered safely and meet dietary requirements
• Set up and maintain clean, welcoming dining areas and support residents during mealtimes
• Perform cleaning and laundry duties, including maintaining resident rooms and shared areas
• Engage with residents in a warm and respectful manner, creating a positive experience
• Deliver a high standard of hygiene and safety across all tasks
• Support the team with daily operations to ensure smooth service delivery
