Job summary

UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families is seeking a Home Services Officer (All-Rounder) for the BlueCare aged care facility at Dicky Beach, QLD. Casual hours (morning to evening) across kitchen, cleaning and laundry support, with a focus on resident wellbeing and a clean, welcoming environment.

The role involves meal preparation and service, room and shared area cleaning, laundry duties, and providing warm, person-centred service while adhering to food safety and hygiene guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry or a similar role.
• A customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing quality service.
• Understanding of food safety, infection control and cleaning practices.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation, meal service and dining room support.
• Cleaning resident rooms and shared areas to a high standard.
• Providing laundry services, including caring for resident clothing and linen.
• Supporting residents with warm, respectful and person-centred service.
• Following food safety, infection control and hygiene practices.
• Working as part of the hospitality team to deliver quality daily services.
