Job summary

Amana Living is seeking a Maintenance Officer for a permanent, full-time role based in Perth. You will oversee general maintenance and coordinate with trades to meet Amana Living’s standards.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (76 hours per fortnight), the role includes a company vehicle and opportunities to contribute to safe, well-maintained facilities for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in home or equipment maintenance.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Current C class driver’s licence.
• Basic computer skills.
• Police clearance no older than 6 months or ability to obtain.
• Pre-employment health form, health checks and references.
• Evidence of current Flu vaccination or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritise maintenance requests, complete repairs and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards and address maintenance issues.
• Coordinate related maintenance tasks and procure materials to improve efficiency.
• Update maintenance systems, complete reports and raise work orders as required.
• Liaise with contractors, Service Managers and Village Managers to coordinate maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work complies with safety requirements, policies and procedures.
• Escalate complex issues and provide leave coverage for other officers when required.
• Complete general external maintenance tasks, including paving repairs and trip hazard removal.
