Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their aged care kitchen team in Australia. You will work with the Chef to manage kitchen tasks, tailor meals to residents and ensure nutritious, high-quality dining experiences.

Strong documentation and communication skills are essential to coordinate dietary needs and menu planning. Applicants should have a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, with experience in a commercial kitchen and ideally aged care exposure.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, aged care experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist with kitchen management alongside the Chef.
• Tailor meals to meet residents’ needs and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, tasty and prepared to Food Safety standards.
• Support kitchen team and manage meal service and equipment.
• Document menus and resident dietary requirements with input from dietitians.
