Job summary

Respect Group in Hobart, TAS, is seeking a part-time Food Services Cook to prepare and deliver nutritious meals in an aged care setting. You will join a supportive team, focus on dietary needs, and help maintain high kitchen hygiene standards.

The role involves assisting with meal prep, cooking, and ensuring residents receive meals that support their health and wellbeing. Prior aged care experience and a current police check are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in aged care or healthcare.
• Relevant cookery qualification or demonstrated cooking experience.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and infection control practices.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals while accommodating dietary requirements.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine interest in providing quality food services to aged care residents.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts.
• Current National Police Certificate.
