Job summary

Montefiore is an award-winning, Sydney-based aged care provider with a proud 135-year history as a non-profit organisation founded on Jewish values. We seek a motivated Cook to assist our Chefs in preparing high-quality meals and to maintain kitchen standards for our Hunters Hill Campus.

You will work with a collaborative team, demonstrate food safety proficiency, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience is essential.
• Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations is desirable.
• Proficiency in all aspects of food safety.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure, and lead by example.
• Fit and energetic; manual handling is involved.
• Must be a good communicator and team player.
• Able to take direction from other people.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Must be reliable with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist our Chefs to prepare high quality food for consumers.
• Maintain the standards and cleanliness of the kitchen as required by the Head Chef.
• Be responsible for all dishes prepared in the assigned area.
