Alzheimer’s Queensland is seeking an experienced Cook to join Garden City Aged Care in Upper Mount Gravatt. You will prepare meals for residents, maintain high hygiene, and work as part of an efficient kitchen team.

This casual and permanent part-time role offers early morning or afternoon shifts, competitive hourly rate, 12% super, and salary packaging. Applicants must have Australian working rights and a Certificate III in Cookery or 3+ years' experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in aged care or healthcare is desirable.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work early mornings and various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook homestyle meals in line with planned menus.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements including texture-modified diets.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.
• Support meal service and ensure timely delivery to residents.
