Churches of Christ in Queensland’s Golden Age Aged Care on the Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals that support residents' wellbeing and quality of life.

You will prepare meals, maintain a clean kitchen, and adhere to infection control procedures while working closely with a supportive team. Prior experience in commercial cooking and IDDSI knowledge are valued, with opportunities for training and development within a values-driven organisation.

Competenze

• Minimum one year experience as a commercial cook in a hygiene-controlled environment.
• Experience in aged care is advantageous but not required.
• Understanding IDDSI or willingness to complete training.
• Knowledge of texture-modified foods and food preparation.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality service.

Mansioni

• Undertaking food handling, meal preparation and cooking duties.
• Maintaining a clean kitchen in line with cleaning and infection control procedures.
• Completing basic records including meal numbers, missed meals and fridge and freezer temperatures.
• Liaising with supervisor and suppliers about ordering and stock control.
• Supporting a culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
