Job summary

Collarcare in Western Australia is seeking dedicated Cooks and Chefs to prepare nutritious meals for residents across regional aged care facilities. You will follow menus, dietary requirements and ensure meals are delivered on time, while maintaining food safety and cleanliness.

The role offers flexible shifts and the opportunity to work across multiple facilities, with competitive agency rates and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef, preferably in an aged care or healthcare environment.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, where required.
• Valid Police Check
• 100 Points of ID
• Valid Work Rights
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.
• Follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements.
• Prepare meals that cater to special dietary needs and textures.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow infection control and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Manage food preparation areas and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with stock rotation and monitor food supplies.
• Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate portion sizes.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and facility staff.
• Create a positive dining experience for residents.
