Job summary

Challenger Services Group is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Aged Care Facility Cleaner for The Ponds, NSW. You will help maintain clean, safe and welcoming resident spaces, supporting health and wellbeing in a residential aged care environment.

This role offers Monday to Friday daytime hours (7:00am - 3:00pm) with potential progression into a Team Leader position at the site. Training, uniforms and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare or aged care preferred.
• Takes pride in high cleaning standards and presentation.
• Understands infection control principles and safe chemical handling.
• Reliable, organised and able to manage workload effectively.
• Attention to detail and good time management.
• Willingness to lead and support teammates when needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, dining rooms and staff facilities.
• Performing routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising and waste removal.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Following infection control procedures and safe cleaning practices.
• Disinfecting high-touch surfaces to support resident health and wellbeing.
• Restocking consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet paper.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or faults to supervisors.
• Working respectfully around residents, visitors and staff to create a welcoming environment.
