Job summary

Cater Care Group is seeking a qualified and dependable Chef to join Lake Cathie Manor in Lake Cathie, NSW. This permanent part-time role is 15 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $35.

You will prepare nutritious, appetising meals for aged care residents and work largely independently in a supportive catering operation. Responsibilities include bulk cooking, texture-modified meals, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring meals are ready for service on schedule.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification in cookery.
• Experience in bulk cooking and food preparation.
• Ability to prepare texture-modified meals for residents.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties.
• Commitment to food safety and hygiene in an aged care setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of quality meals for aged care residents.
• Undertake bulk cooking and food preparation to support timely meal service.
• Prepare texture-modified meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
• Work independently to coordinate daily kitchen duties and schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and follow hygiene standards.
