Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Chaplain at Elizabeth Lodge in Rushcutters Bay to provide Christ-centred spiritual leadership and pastoral care to residents, their families and our staff.

Working onsite with Pastoral Carers, you will lead the chaplaincy program, build relationships, offer Bible teaching, prayer, chapel services and end‑of‑life support.

The role requires active Christian faith, theological training and ordination or recognition as an Anglican minister.

Qualifications

• Active Christian faith and pastoral ministry experience with older people
• Theological training and Anglican ordination or recognition
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary care team
• Strong interpersonal and confidential relationship building

Responsibilities

• Provide Christ-centred pastoral care through visitation, prayer, Bible teaching, preaching and church services.
• Lead the chaplaincy ministry within Elizabeth Lodge and collaborate with Pastoral Carers.
• Build relationships with residents and families to understand spiritual needs.
• Offer spiritual support for residents with dementia and end-of-life care.
• Support a holistic, person-centred care approach with the care team
